JPG has no transparency, so it always uses the background color.

Watch: convert SVG to PNG

No sound. Each step is captioned on screen and also written out in the guide below.

Convert in three steps

  1. 01
    Add your SVG

Drop files, choose them, or paste SVG code. Several files convert together.

  2. 02
    Pick format and size

PNG keeps transparency. Choose 2× or larger for crisp images on phones and high-DPI screens.

  3. 03
    Download

Save each image, or all of them in one .zip file.

Which format should I use?

  • PNG: logos, icons, and anything with transparency or sharp edges.
  • JPG: when a site or app only accepts JPG. No transparency.
  • WebP: smaller files for websites, with transparency.

The SVG is redrawn at the size you choose, so a 4× PNG is as sharp as the original, not a blown-up copy.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded?

No. Your browser draws the SVG and saves the image itself. Nothing is sent to a server, so it also works offline once the page has loaded.

Why is part of my image missing?

For security, browsers don't load outside files, such as linked images, web fonts, or stylesheets, when they convert an SVG. The page warns you when your SVG links any. Embed them in the SVG as data URLs, or convert text to outlines in your design app.

Why does the text look different?

Text is drawn with the fonts installed on your device. If the SVG names a font you don't have, a fallback font is used. Convert text to outlines (paths) before exporting for an exact match.

What size should I choose?

1× matches the SVG's own size. 2× is a good default for websites and apps on high-DPI screens. For print or large displays, choose an exact width; up to 16,384 pixels per side and 100 megapixels in total.

Is converting an SVG safe?

Yes. An SVG drawn as an image can't run scripts or load anything, so even an SVG from an unknown source is converted without running its code.
