Agent Conversation Viewer

Drop a Claude Code or Codex session, or paste OpenAI, Anthropic, or Gemini messages. Read it as a conversation, with each tool call next to its result.

View a transcript locally

Runs locally in your browser. Transcripts often hold code, keys, and customer data. They are read on your device, not uploaded, saved, or shared.
Nothing loaded

Paste JSON or JSON Lines, or drop a file here. Large files (up to 200 MB) are read without loading them into the editor.

Ready when you are.

Read a session in three steps

  1. 01
    Add a transcript

Drop a session file, open one, or paste JSON. The format is detected for you.

  2. 02
    Read and filter

Hide thinking or tool output, search for a word, and open any long result in full.

  3. 03
    Share what matters

Copy the conversation as Markdown for a bug report, pull request, or notes.

Formats it reads

  • Claude Code: session files from ~/.claude/projects/.
  • Codex CLI: session files from ~/.codex/sessions/.
  • OpenAI: Chat Completions messages, Responses API items, and Batch or fine-tuning JSONL.
  • Anthropic and Gemini: Messages API and contents requests and responses.

Session formats aren't officially documented and can change. If lines can't be read, the summary says how many were skipped.

Frequently asked questions

Is my transcript uploaded?

No. The file is read and shown in your browser, and nothing is sent anywhere. That matters because agent sessions often contain source code, file paths, and secrets.

Where are Claude Code and Codex sessions saved?

Claude Code saves each session as a .jsonl file in ~/.claude/projects/, in a folder named after the project. Codex CLI saves them in ~/.codex/sessions/, by date. On a Mac, press Cmd+Shift+. in the file picker to show these hidden folders.

Why is some thinking not shown?

Some models return their reasoning encrypted or redacted, so it isn't in the file. The viewer marks where it was rather than leaving a gap.

What do the token totals include?

They add up the usage the file records: input, output, and cached input. Claude Code records usage on every reply, and Codex records a running total. Message lists without usage show no totals.

Is Markdown or HTML in the transcript rendered?

No. Everything is shown as plain text, so nothing inside a transcript can run in your browser or load anything.
