PNG to JPG in three steps

  1. 01
    Add your PNG images

Drop them, choose them, or paste one. Several at once is fine.

  2. 02
    Check the settings

JPG is already selected. Set a width to make large images smaller.

  3. 03
    Download

See each file's size before and after, then save them one by one or as a .zip.

Why convert PNG to JPG?

  • Smaller files: a photo saved as PNG is often several times larger than the same photo as a JPG.
  • Accepted everywhere: some forms, apps, and printers only take JPG.
  • Transparency: JPG has none, so transparent areas are filled with a background color you choose (white by default).

For screenshots and text, PNG or WebP stays sharper than JPG.

Frequently asked questions

What happens to transparent areas?

JPG can't store transparency, so they are filled with the background color under Output (white unless you change it).

Will the image lose quality?

JPG drops a little detail to save space. At the default quality of 85 it's hard to see in photos. Sharp text and flat colors can show smudges, so keep those as PNG or try WebP.

Why is my JPG bigger than the PNG?

That can happen with small, simple graphics that PNG already stores well. Lower the quality, or keep the PNG. Bigger results are flagged.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Your browser decodes and converts the images itself. Nothing is sent to a server.
