WebP to PNG in three steps

  1. 01
    Add your WebP images

Drop them, choose them, or paste one. Several at once is fine.

  2. 02
    Check the settings

PNG is already selected. Set a width to make large images smaller.

  3. 03
    Download

See each file's size before and after, then save them one by one or as a .zip.

Why convert WebP to PNG?

  • Keep transparency: PNG keeps transparent areas, which JPG can't.
  • Open anywhere: PNG works in every editor and design tool, including ones that don't read WebP.
  • Lossless: PNG adds no further compression loss when you edit and save again.

PNG files are usually bigger than WebP, because PNG keeps every pixel exactly.

Frequently asked questions

Is transparency kept?

Yes. Transparent and partly transparent areas stay that way in the PNG.

Why is the PNG bigger than the WebP?

WebP is designed to be small. PNG keeps every pixel exactly, so it's usually larger. Reduce the size under Output to make it smaller.

What about animated WebP?

The result is the first frame as a still PNG. Converting animations isn't supported yet.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Your browser decodes and converts the images itself. Nothing is sent to a server.
