WebP to JPG in three steps

  1. 01
    Add your WebP images

Drop them, choose them, or paste one. Several at once is fine.

  2. 02
    Check the settings

JPG is already selected. Set a width to make large images smaller.

  3. 03
    Download

See each file's size before and after, then save them one by one or as a .zip.

Why convert WebP to JPG?

  • Images saved from websites: many sites serve WebP, so a picture you save is often a .webp file.
  • Older apps and forms: some editors, upload forms, and printers don't accept WebP yet.
  • Transparency: JPG has none, so transparent areas get a background color you choose (white by default).

If the image has transparency you want to keep, use WebP to PNG instead.

Frequently asked questions

Why did my download save as WebP?

Many websites send images as WebP because it's smaller. Converting to JPG makes the file open anywhere.

What happens to transparent areas?

JPG can't store transparency, so they are filled with the background color under Output (white unless you change it).

What about animated WebP?

The result is the first frame as a still JPG. Converting animations isn't supported yet.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Your browser decodes and converts the images itself. Nothing is sent to a server.
